Flying the flag.

An old favourite subject for me in these Beach Huts. These here at Saltburn-on-Sea show the modern trend towards plastics. At least they still follow the tradition of bright colours. Of course all were closed in these days of Covid restrictions, with not a single visitor, but at least the Union Flag still flies happily.

Jaap van 't Veen club has replied to Herb Riddle clubHerb Riddle club has replied to Jaap van 't Veen clubJust a note - fortunately, most of our beach-huts around the country are very traditional and still made of wood as shown below from nearby Whitby - Many thanks for your second call here.

Great idea for easier and cheaper maintenance
But I admit that they are not as pleasant as the wood ones in terms of texture and temperature
Wonderfully shown, Herb!

I'm on the fence about the uPVC cladding though..............it makes them look as if they're constructed of Lego bricks! I suppose it's all to do with saving money on future maintenance.
