Those that know me from Panoramio will remember that I used to take very many beach hut scenes. Now, not so many at all, but I could not but help myself to taking this at St Ives in Cornwall. Not really the weather for beach huts but the beach bar has customers. Enjoy full screen. Herb

An old favourite subject for me in these Beach Huts. These here at Saltburn-on-Sea show the modern trend towards plastics. At least they still follow the tradition of bright colours. Of course all were closed in these days of Covid restrictions, with not a single visitor, but at least the Union Flag still flies happily. The Pip shows an alternative view. Enjoy full screen.

SPC Joint Winner March/April 2020 (Porte/Doors). My fellow winner was Amelia Heath Originally in my old Panoramio account, these are actually beach huts. The title chosen because of the numbered boxes here representing in a little way our old social light gambling game: Bingo. When one won - they would shout 'House'! The game was often called 'housey-housey. Of course the double meaning was not lost on me neither :) The SPC (Secret Photographer Challenge) is one of a handful of Ipernity photo competitions. It is a fun contest giving contestants a chance to pit their skills with often something a little different from their normal Ipernity submissions. Seen in the seaside town of Seaford, Sussex. These are beach-huts lit up by the evening sun-set. Yes, talk about 'the Golden Hour'.

Back here in the lovely seaside town of Whitby looking down on its row of beach-huts. A coloured ribbon adds to the wonderful curve of this fenced promenade. This was actually taken just between our Covid lockdowns when we thought for a short number of weeks that all would be normal again soon. Hopefully this brings nice thoughts to your mind of better times and places. HFF and have a great weekend.

For those of you who have watched my photos from the Panoramio days, you will know that I used to have a passion for taking photos of beach huts. Nowadays, sadly the chances do not come as often. However on this recent trip to the North Yorkshire coast I spied a few and here is a high view down to the large beach of Whitby town and its row of colourful beach huts.
