Not having visited Lanzarote I find this a weird almost alien landscape, presumably volcanic ash.

Hi Maurice, yes, as my previous photos on here show, this is very much volcanic. Quite a contrast after visiting some of the other main Canary Island prior to this on the same cruise. It all made for a very interesting photo change and challenge which I appreciated. My wife especially liked Lanzarote.
