Summer wild flowers

Summer wild flowers
As we encroach into mid summer here in Oldham, one can delight in the many flowers that are now blooming. Here we see a sample of truly wild flowers including poppies, clovers and cornflower. Wild as they are, they are actually in a recently created house garden and demonstrates the drive in this country to provide more flowers of this type to save our dwindling bee population.

Thanks Amelia. I did not recognise the yellow rattle. I know that some packets of these seeds have as many as 25 varieties of flowers there. As my fife Eileen says - all weeds in reality but of course what are flowers but cultivated weeds. Glad you enjoyed them.

Yes these natural flower meadows are very peasant on the eye, and so attractive to the insects too. We are trying to attract more bees at the moment here in the UK.
