A panoramic shot taken at a full moon night at Crathie in Scotland. Centre stage here is the majestic LochNagar Munro. One can just see the Milky Way making a bow starting from the edge of the central big trees here, dropping down again to the bottom left of my capture. - A demonstration too of the high latitude of this Scottish village at 57° with its bright May evenings, but thankfully no light pollution.
For the technical minded, this is a double row of nine photos in portrait mode. 11mm @ 10sec/f4 iso1600 stitched with PTGui.
My thanks again to Steve Paxton for his invaluable help here.

I am totally impressed by the technical skill which has gone into this.
In recent years, I don't think I have ever seen such a clear sky, and if I did I wouldn't have had the skill to do this to it!!
Best Wishes
Peter
Herb Riddle club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubI am like you, living in a place where skies like this are very rare indeed and when it should be clear (for example just a week ago at 1am) there is much conurbation light pollution. To see the heavens like this one in Scotland is a real treat. Yes a lot of technical hassle but as Steve P says above, worth putting the effort in for.
Greetings, Herb
Herb Riddle club has replied to tiabunna clubps Lots of cloud and rain at Perth for Steve and so an agonizing wait for clear skies again for him.
Cheers, Herb
