Lough Caragh

Lough Caragh
Situated between Killarney and its South West coast sits this lake, which in blue skies and crisp air must be a real beauty. On this very wet September day though, a place for fishermen and mad photographers only. Moments after taking this, the heavens opened again and we could no longer see the lake at all.

Another of my Irish shots for you here Toz and as you can see, it was not all sunny skies. This is one of those captures that does look better big. We had our picnic just feet away from here -in the car- as it was so wet. Glad you liked it. ~ Herb

This has a very melancholic feel to it Herb. I do like the contrasting tones above the horizon though and I have to admit it has a certain charm.

I struggle to get decent images on days like this and I think you've done well to get this one!

It is always the same with photos done in such conditions Keith. Not much we can do but find a good p.o.v compose and shoot. I know what you mean about struggling to get anything decent in weather like this - it is sleeting here at the moment with dark grey skis -am I inspired to go out get pictures - no way! ~ Herb

This was done only the day before, and hence the rains on here heralded the weather you saw on the other pics George. Glad you liked this which is much more in line with that, that I see back in my Oldham town.
