Evening falls at Rossbeigh

A lovely coastal scene and great light, though as you note there is a huge contrast range.

Thanks George for taking a ganda at this one. In truth, I have more interesting shots of this evening but they would compete with even better ones taken as the week progressed and I intend to post on here too. This does have a certain feeling of tranquility and peace about it though, don't you think.

The silvery light is very beautiful and for all its brightness you have still caught the detail on the darker side. The photo looks even better on black.

A beautiful, but subdued colour palette, gorgeous light and lovely tones. Viewed large, there is an amazing amount of fine detail in the shadows, especially where the sun is glistening on the rocks in the foreground. I love the hint of pink in the sky and the shimmering silver sea. Masterfully done Herb!

I must say that I'm in full immersion in the peaceful atmosphere of this coastal scenery where the splendid light , while touching softly the lovely tones in the background, even reaches and brightens the details on the darker foreground !
