Great find Herb. I love the curve of the stairs and the detail in the brickwork. Viewed large, you can see some lovely detail under the stairs as well. Nice one Sir!

So pleased that you see the same in these pictures as me Keith. Atmosphere was what I was tying to catch here. Agreed that seeing this full screen is a different experience.

Thanks a lot Nick. The original coloured shot looked OK but I think this gave it a more interesting aged feeling more in line with the layout of the brickwork. I tied to convey some atmosphere, apparently it worked for you at least.

Loving so much the geometry of lines and curves , the texture of the walls and the tones enhancing the atmosphere : I know it was in Poland. But at first I felt to be in a Victorian jail :-)
Most enjoyable if enlarged . And the Pip contrasts in a brilliant way !HFF and HANWE , Herb.

So nice to see you here again Beatrice. I too loved the texture and layout of the bricks which seem so different to our modern way of laying bricks. I know what you mean about the reference to a 'Victorian jail', this has a rather 'spooky' feeling. Glad you enjoyed the intermix of my previous HFF PiP too.

Viewed large the details under the arch show to perfection. The monochrome toning adds to the old times atmosphere, a beauritful photo!

Glad to please you with this Gudrun. This looked OK in colour but as you say the mono and toning gave it a new feeling of age. Always good when a plan works out.
