Looks grim at the moment Herb

I might not exactly call this grim as this reservoir is not used for our drinking water but to keep our river levels up. However, I get your point and like most of us in the UK now wish for our normal wet weather back.

I suspect quite a few of our reservoirs are going to end up looking like this before summer is out Herb...............but a bit of rain and they usually recover quite quickly.

Hi Keith, I suspect taht you will be right - just wait till Saint Swithin's Day (July 15), we will get 40 days and nights of torrential - see if I am right. As you say, most of our res's must be the same. I was in the Lake District over the last few days and the lakes there were all quite full although I had never before spent four days with clear skies, heat and sun there before.

100% Australia but for the colour of the soil and vegetation my bet is there would be no water in the corner if it was here.

I am sure you are right Steve. This was full to the brim a couple of months back. Sure to get much lower before it starts to fill again, probably in our Autumn.

Wonderful illustration of the change over the past couple of months, food prices will be rising without some decent rain fall, nothing is growing on the allotment

Aye Peter, I can see that happening soon as our fields are tinder dry. Our garden plants have started to whither as our old washing-up water is insufficient to keep them all going. Our garden water-butts dried out a week or so back. Feel sorry for you with an allotment -all that hard work, for nothing! Ah well, there is always our photography to keep us going.
