Indeed it is quite beautiful Rosa. Even in poor weather it has its charms. The only thing is, its quite big and varied needing many trips to explore all. I wish I had the energy, time and skills to do more of the peaks than I have actually done. Co-incidentally, my pal also has a Patterdale Terrier that I see every few weeks -its quite daft and never does what it has been told -even got expelled out of obedience/training school but it does have a loverble charm too! Glad you like the pic. Regards, Herb

Eee lad, this area certainly has a different feel in the heart of a Winter blizzard. As you can see this was taken in February and so it can still be very allowable -at least on the lower levels. Thanks for the call, Herb

Thank you Rainer. Yes, you are right, it is quite beautiful, but nowadays a casualty of its own success with so many tourist everywhere including every valley, lake and mountain. You can hardly move on the roads in mid tourist season and every hotel, B&B and cottage is booked many months before. But, when you are there, it is still possible to find quite area's and suddenly be in a World far away.
Best Wishes, Herb

Perfect light for this wonderful shot!! In my walking days I had quite a few holidays in the Lakes, it was full then but nowhere as bad as it is now.
