Thanks Füsun. The castle, as you can see is surrounded by forest, which keeps the modern world away. This view is perhaps the less famous view as it is invariably against the light and some might say, does not show off its best features. See PiP.

A very nice picture, and as you say, a shame to be unpublished.
I am a little sad now, because I visited Cochem, Koblenz, Trier, and the Mosel river, but unfortunately remained in blissful ignorance of this castle. Thank you for showing me what I missed.

Thanks for this Peter. i know how you feel as I too after visiting places have found out later that I missed a gem just around the corner. Anyway, this castle has been here for a while now and so it will no doubt be still accessible to you on a possible future trip. - Hope you liked the alternative PiP view too. One day I may get to Neuschwanstein which is built in a similar style to this.

Hi Rosalyn, almost missed this. (I wish that Ipernity had some system of notifying me when I get new comments on older photos like yours here.). Yes, I imagine it could get cold here. It was rather warm on our trip there both in and out. A castle well worth visiting more than once as I can testify.
