Sydney Kayaking #1

Out with a friend on Sydney Harbour with a borrowed kayak and a borrowed waterproof camera. There's a fairly substantial fence along the deck of the ANZAC Bridge. See also PiP. Happy Fence Friday and have a great weekend, everyone.

Sydney Sunrise

Taken with a camera borrowed from a friend, shortly before a kayak trip on Sydney Harbour. Despite the slight blur (slow shutter) I think this still looks good viewed large.

Waiting coaches

These coaches travel on the Canberra to Sydney run. For those interested, they're run by a company called 'Murrays Coaches' and both are BCI "Cruiser" models (809 and 816) made in Australia.

Canberra

Looking from the National Arboretum across part of Canberra, Australia's capital city, on the far side of the lake running through the centre of the city. The main urban area is behind the hill to the left of this image, but this shows Parliament House at the far right. I'll now be away for some days, wishing everyone all the best until my return.

Little butterfly

I found this little butterfly waiting to be photographed in the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens. I must admit I have no identification on it, but it does look better viewed large.

Car badge macro

For "Macro Mondays" group 20 March 2023. Topic #301, "Car emblems". With the group topic being macro images of (sections of) car badges, I understand that you, gentle viewer, are supposed to try identifying the make of car. Over to you!

In the Gardens #2

Not far along the track from my earlier fence image (PiP), in the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens which feature native plants of the region. Happy Bench Monday and have a great week, everyone.

Little Tree Frog

This colourful little animal is a Jervis Bay Tree Frog (Litoria jervisiensis) with a body about 30 mm long. These are native to the south east coastal area of Australia. I found the frog floating in my dogs' water bowl, from which it would never have been able to depart. After I took these images (see also PiP), I took it out and it hopped away. Some reflections in the water around its head.
