Early morning on the Bogan
Early monring light and reflections on the Bogan River at Nyngan. Best viewed on black.
Previous image in PiP.
As a matter of interest, I find that many of my images appear darker when loaded to ipernity than when viewed on my screen software. Is this something you also experience?
Bogan reflections
Early mornig at Nyngan and this is the Bogan River. Maybe it's how the crocodile on the bench in my previous image found its way here. :-)
Don't sit here!
This rather ferocious looking crocodile was resting on this bench in the grounds of the Nyngan Caravan Park. Well, maybe not so ferocious, it was missing half its lower jaw.
Happy Bench Monday, but with due caution! :-)

Morning in Nyngan
We stayed in a very comfortable cabin in Nyngan. This was the view next morning across the surrounding parkland, complete with a bench (see also PiP for a close-up).
Happy Bench Monday, everyone, and wishing you a good coming week.
On our way
As my friend and I headed off to visit some of the more remote areas of Australia, on the first day of our Outback Odyssey we passed these fields in what are described as the "Western Slopes" of NSW. A rather approximate position on the map location, but expect to see some substantial landscape changes!
The PiP shows the pair of us with a fully laden vehicle, just before departure.

Autumn leaves
Heading back from travels (home soon) and these autumn leaves were striking. There had been others earlier, but not quite as well preserved. The high ISO and shutter speed were to compensate for a bouncing moving vehicle.
It's near the end of another week, so I'll wish everyone a Happy Fence Friday and a great weekend to follow.
Another Rochester silo
This painting of a Platypus on this Rochester silo was done by Jimmy Dvate, just behind and a few years after his earlier works there (see my previous posting). We were fortunate to be able to visit as part of the events for the National Muster of the Renault 4CV Register of Australia. Second image in the PiP.
I am finalising my preparations to head away for another trip and expect I will be largely offline from now through the rest of May. With that thought, I wish you all the very best over coming weeks and a Happy Fence Friday.
Rochester silos
These painted silos are in the township of Rochester in Victoria. They were painted by Jimmy Dvate, who prefers to paint endangered wildlife. In this case, on the left is a Squirrel Glider, a possum species, on the right an Azure Kingfisher. Another image from a slightly different angle in the PiP.
The Colbinabbin silos
These impressive painted silos are in the little village of Colbinabbin. The backlighting was not helpful, but I'd suggest viewing large on black. Images of each individual silo are in the PiPs. Painted by Tim Bowtell, they took over 8 weeks to complete and depict scenes relevant to local history. To give some impression of scale, this was taken with the lens at widest setting and still required a stitch of two images.
