Die einzige Brücke weltweit, die in "International Orange" gestrichen ist. Genau genommen ist es nur eine Rostschutzfarbe.

Ja, ich weiss noch, man musste da ziemlich genau zwischen den Büschen durchzirkeln, damit man genau in der Brückenachse stand. :-)

Christa, ja, auf dem Aussichtsplatz waren damals ziemlich viel Büsche, so dass es schwierig war, genau diese Ansicht aufs Bild zu bringen. Ich weiss nicht, wie das heute dort aussieht. :-)

An dieser Stelle standen wir in den 90ern auch mal, mit dem Wohnmobil und machten Frühstück, nachdem wir unsere Kinder in den Flieger nach Hause gesetzt hatten weil die Osterferien zu Ende waren. Sie waren schon 19 und 17, wir hatten dann noch eine schöne Woche nördlich von SF.

Gudrun, orange ist eben nicht gleich orange. Es gibt sogar beim "International Orange" mehrere Varianten. Eine davon hat sogar den Zusatz "Golden Gate Bridge" (siehe auch Link unter dem Bild). Da glaube ich schon, dass es einmalig ist. ;-)

:-) Genau, und der Himmel über Florida ist natürlich viel höher, als z.B. über der Schweiz, da wir schon auf mindestens über 500 m liegen. Da hats drüber nicht mehr so viel Platz. ;-)

Muss noch gelegentlich ein Bild der Brücke suchen. Auf der Brücke bin ich übrigens einem Auto von Google Street View gefolgt, man konnte mich danach in Google sehen :-))
