Another couple of images from my walk on Milton Common last Tuesday. The other image is in the PiP.

Believe It or not this beautiful place used to be mudflats. The land was reclaimed and used as a landfill site between 1962-1970. Around 1974 it was capped, grassed over and nature was allowed to take over.

Best viewed large if you have time. Thanks for looking.

The blue flowers in the PiP are Common Chicory (Cichorium intybus)........a fairly common wildflower in this region.
