Glad you like it Fred. My main points of identification are the "collar" on its neck, the pointed yellow beak and the white rim around the eyes.

I know wood pidgeons very well...........I have around two dozen that come to the feeding station in my garden every morning!!

We have these in our garden Keith. Forever making circular tracks under our bird seed feeder waiting for the finches to throw the seeds down. Never thought of photographing them! A great sharp catch here from you. Well done.
