Sunflower and Wildflower Fields (+PiPs)

I visited the sunflower and wildflower fields, which are part of a farm on Hayling Island, Hampshire.
I only stayed a couple hours as it was getting busier and busier with families and children which made getting photos with no one in quite difficult. Also the flowers were a little past their best, not helped by the extremely hot weather we've been having. Nevertheless, it was still quite enjoyable!
Please check out the PiPs for a couple of sunflower photos. Thanks for looking!

Keith Burton club has replied to Amelia clubOpening these fields to the public is an annual event here. The sunflowers are grown primarily for their seeds (for bird food) and the petasl from the wild flowers are dried and sold as confetti I think. The (sweetcorn) maze will of course be harvested to sell. Next year it will all be done again!
This year it cost £6 to visit and with the café, bar, BBQ etc it will no doubt be a nice little earner. A great example of farming diversification.
Eine schöne Aufnahme, Keith!
