Hmm, a good attempt my friend. Not sure that it has come off though with this lighting and background. Maybe a far more subdued light to one side? Well we have to try these things to find out. Well done all the same.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments Herb.............I have to admit I dithered about posting this one, which is why it sat on my HD for a month before I did.

I know the background is a bit rough........I was going for a sort of rustic look, but it obviously didn't turn out as well as I thought it would. I've recently bought an LED lighting panel to try and improve my lighting as I don't have much room for anything bigger.

I have little doubt that it will Keith. As you seem to agree, this was a little below par for you but that is only because your standards are so high. As I have been through the school of still-life too, I always look now for perfection in these things. I know I shouldn't and that is why I post so few ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) (Your many still-life captures have only re-enforced that idea.)

Thanks for your kind words Peter. The background was an old piece of hessian sacking.......I was going for a rustic look, but. not sure I succeeded.
