Green spring shoots. Acer palmatum?. I had a bonsai of this variety that could not overwhelm my careful care. I must be unlucky because none of my bonsai survived. Kind regards, Anton.

I'll take you word for the identification Anton. We got it from a neighbour who was moving out and it had no label. I'm glad you like it though.........currently it's around a metre high and we're hoping it will thrive.,

Not as much as I'd like Jean Paul. The shadow from the gable end of the house means it only gets sunlight for half the day.
