Exmouth Beach (Orcombe Point), Devon.

Exmouth Beach (Orcombe Point), Devon.
Taken at low tide around midday on a misty, murky day back in April. This pretty much sums up the weather we had for a great part of the week. Not that it mattered much as we were visiting family and that was the important thing.

There's no point viewing this large.............you still won't be able to see the sun :-)))

This place has a special resonance for me, Keith!
(Obv I don't remember in person but) we were staying with my grandparents who lived near here and this is the beach where I took my first steps!

The great British seaside. You're right, Keith, I've enlarged it to the fullest extent, and I cannot fine the sun. ;-)))

Good to see people on the beach in this wonderfully atmospheric image, Keith. The mist would I assume indicate a reasonable temperature,
Wonderful image and I wish you a good week.

Thanks Roger...........Exmouth beach always has people on it, no matter what the weather! It was quite a warm day actually.........and I was hoping the sun would emerge and burn off the mist, but it didn't happen. No matter though, I enjoyed the walk regardless.

Have a good week yourself.

Monochrome does misty and murky really well Keith! I love atmospheric pictures like this. to me it's a great shot!! I remember walking down to Charmouth beach one Mother's day a few years ago, and we could hardly see a foot in front of us....I loved it :-))

Have a great new week Keith.

Thank you so much Rosa...............I'm pleased that you like it so much. It was actually quite a warm day, but the sun wasn't strong enough to burn off the mist but I enjoyed the walk anyway!

I'm surprised at the number of people on the beach in such dull weather! They must be a hardy lot over your way!!

Der Nebel kommt in dieser S/W-Aufnahme sehr schön zur Geltung! Die Leute scheinen den Strand trotzdem zu genießen.
