Another from my recent trip to Devon. Part of the town can be seen up on the cliffside.
There's a lot of driftwood on the beach due to recent bad weather and you can clearly see how much the sea bed has been churned up,.
Best viewed large. Thanks for looking.
I think I've commented on at least one of all your photos you posted while I was away. Apologies if I've missed any one. As I get time, I'll try and look at some of the older images in due course.

These cliffs mark the western boundary of the Jurassic Coast, which is a World Heritage Site on the English Channel coast of southern England. It stretches from here to Studland Bay in Dorset, a distance of about 96 miles.
It is the only place on Earth where rocks from the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous Periods can be seen in one place, representing 185 million years of the Earth’s history. (Info from Wikipedia).
On a lovely day like this though, it's mainly a great place for family fun.
It's nice to be back after my short break. I managed to do a bit of catching up on at least one of each of your most recent photos (but apologies if I've missed anyone). Over the next few days, I'll try to catch up with some of your other photos if I have time.
Enjoy the rest of your week :-)

The view from the top of the cliffs at Orcombe Point, Exmouth, Devon. Orcombe Point is the most westerly point of the Jurassic Coast. You can quite clearly see evidence of erosion caused by the wind and waves. Best view large, I think.
I got back from Devon yesterday afternoon after a very enjoyable week visiting family. The weather you see here was pretty typical of the week...........very cloudy at times with some sunshine, but hardly any rain.
I have a lot of catching up to do over the next few days, but I'll try to get to everyone, even if it just means leaving a star instead of commenting. I'm not going to stress over it :-)
I hope everyone has a good week.

Taken at low tide around midday on a misty, murky day back in April. This pretty much sums up the weather we had for a great part of the week. Not that it mattered much as we were visiting family and that was the important thing.
There's no point viewing this large.............you still won't be able to see the sun :-)))

Stormy conditions at Sidmouth, Devon. The sign on the sea defence wall is to tell people to keep off the beach due to regularly occurring rockfalls..!!
Please view large, on black. Thank you.

Taken from above Readymoney Beach looking towards the castle perched up on the cliffs. I didn't actually climb up to the castle. My wife Jackie and I let the younger family members do that while we stayed on the beach, enjoyed the view and had a nice cuppa!
More about the castle here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Catherine%27s_Castle if you're interested in such things.
Much nicer viewed large, on black. Thank you.

Budleigh Salterton, Devon. Taken from onboard a boat during a Jurassic Coast cruise. Plenty of fences and some beach huts thrown in too. Best viewed large, on black.
Happy Fence Friday everyone. I hope you enjoy your weekend, whatever you're doing.
More pics from the cruise can be seen at: www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/album/1007400 if you're interested :-)

I don't do heights very well and had to lean over a fence to get this shot (around 200 feet up) - so it was a very quick snap!!
