Thanks Rosa...........I think it would have kept it up for hours, but the tide was on it's way in and that small piece of beach would have been under 4 or 5 feet of water. His owner pretty much had to drag him away.

The Royal Oak pub.........right on the edge of the water, has benches outside on the footpath and we nearly always stop there for a drink after walking to the millpond and feeding the birds, especially when it's nice and sunny.

In Portsmouth today meeting up with a friend for lunch and a walk round the park. Even managed to get a train there and back between the strike days!

My brother has two springer spaniels and they are just the same ;-)
