I think the quality is superb Keith. You have very high standards! The main shot is really beautiful of the stag sitting down, and the PiP is superb. I love the light, and the tree is captured so well!

Oh boy...what a treat this pair of pictures are...I am torn between the two for a favorite! The main image is an obvious winner with the single, gorgeous stag relaxing in the meadow. But the ginormous herd of deer that fill your wide-format image so perfectly...WHAT A SIGHT! I've never seen so many deer together like this in the wild--though I'd sure love to! We've driven through areas where elk are spread out over a vast pasture area, but I'm not sure they'd equal this group! Thanks for sharing, I loved these pictures so much! :)

Wolves would be great...............but they've been extinct in the UK for over half a century :-))

Thanks Wilhelm. They live in a 700 acre enclosed deer park. The herd is around 6-700 strong.

Fabulous shots both! I also love that tree with its spreading branches. It certainly provides a great shelter for the animals! I see from one of the comments that there is about one deer to the acre. Plenty of room for all to enjoy.

Wow,das ist aber auch eine spezielle Aufnahme von diesen Rehen,die sich da um diesen Baum gesammelt haben lieber Keith und auch dein Hauptbild kommt sehr gut zur Geltung,dass dieser Hirsch nur halb rausschaut mit dem Geweih,sehr schön hast du sie aufgenommen :))

I'm really pleased that you like my photos of these beautiful animals Güni. Petworth is a huge estate and it took a lot of walking to find the deer, but it was worth the effort.

The best times to see the deer are early in the morning and in the evenings. Petworh is about an hours drive for me, and at the moment, due to eye problems, I am unable to drive in low light, so I can't get there until the Summer comes back.

Es ist immer besser auf etwas zu verzichten,wenn es wegen der Augenprobleme nicht mehr geht lieber Keith,ich fahre auch nicht mehr gerne weite Strecken mit dem Auto,seit ich wieder meine Angst-Panikattacken,die ich durch meine Krebserkrankungen bekommen habe,aber ich habe es auch in meiner Nähe sehr schön und habe ein paar Naturgebiete :))
