Bosham, West Sussex

A view across part of Chichester Harbour looking towards the town of Bosham (pronouced "Bozzum"), taken on a cloudy day last month.
Bosham is famous locally for the sometimes comical mishaps of visitors who decide to park by the shore at low tide, only to return and find their car floating away or at the least submerged under the water.
Please view large for best effect.
If you're interested there is a fascinating history of Bosham here: www.britainexpress.com/attractions.htm?attraction=3123

Keith Burton club has replied to Herb Riddle clubI also like the low point of view and lines of grass. When I hopefully visit this place one day, I will be sure to think about the mishaps you mention ;-)) When I read it the first time I thought it said 'misshapes of visitors'!! ;o)
A super shot Keith. Happy Wednesday.

Keith Burton club has replied to Günter Klaus clubBosham is also said to be the place where King Canute tried to turn back the tide. Also his daughter drowned in the local mill stream and you can see her memorial stone in the church nearby, where she is buried.
Best wishes, Keith.
