A Pair of Apples

A Pair of Apples
Left on my tree for the birds to eat.

This is just quick post to let you know why I haven't been about for a while - basically I've been in hospital with acute appendicitis. I've had my appendix removed and I'm home now with a supply of antibiotics and painkillers. I won't be posting again for a while because sitting hunched over a computer screen is quite painful.

I hope everyone is well. Take care:-)

OH KEITH!! I am so sorry to hear that you had your appendix removed! Appendicitis is absolutely EXCRUCIATING and I'm so horribly sorry that this happened to you! :( I am also so very sorry that I have not even been by to say hello and so I am only just now learning of your emergency. I feel so bad that you had to go through that horrible pain...my older brother got appendicitis when he was about 17 or 18 and I was there when it first started to bother him and then, as the hours past, descended into indescribable pain--thank goodness he was brought to the emergency room before it burst. I'll never forget the agony he was in...being very empathic, I was beside myself wanting to make him feel better but he was so miserable--oh Keith, I'm so sorry that happened to you!! :( :( :(

I almost feel like it's wrong to appreciate your picture but it's absolutely GORGEOUS in every way. The droplets, the details, the omg BOKEH...it's all just outstanding! You are a wonder.

I have been away from ipernity or very distracted for a while now, as you know, and though I'm finally finding my way back into my usual happy self, it's been a bumpy road emotionally. It's hard--impossible--to be creative and sharing when feeling like that. And then I've been doing lots of other things too. And I've MEANT to visit--I'd be walking up and down the road for my exercise, see something cool and think of you...and then when I'd get inside, I'd forget to go see your stream...so I am feeling pretty guilty--though I know you don't hate me for it, but still. :(

Anyway...many hugs from afar and hoping you're feeling better soon!!

Oh dear Keith, I had noticed you were missing but had not investigated it until now. After all we are all allowed to go missing from here now and then with or without a good excuse. Boy did you have a good excuse. I do hope you really are on the mend and I look forward to seeing some views of the waterfront and those surprise shots of the urban landscape that you seem to be a master at finding. Best Wishes Colin.

Thank you all for all your kind comments following my abrupt disappearance from IP. I didn't expect my recovery to take so long.............I guess it's probably my age :-(

However.................I am well on the mend now and hope to be posting more often. I am still restricted a bit in that I'm not allowed to lift anything remotely heavy and I'm not allowed to do anything strenuous for another four weeks or so. My car is still off the road as well so I won't be able to travel far anyway!

My wife is supervising me closely :-))

I love this! Oops, I didn't know about your appendix, either! Well, good riddance to it, but the recovery is a complete nuisance.

Thanks Diane. Yep, definitely good riddance..........no one seems to know what the appendix does anyway..!!

I'm feeling pretty good now, but the recovery took a lot longer than I expected, I went out for a short walk yesterday but my wife is watching me like a hawk to make sure I behave and follow the doctor's orders :-))
