Footpath under the Bridge

The whold pathway is very accessible Fred...............I quite often see people in wheelchairs using it.

I like this kind of shot Keith. The brickwork is beautifully exposed. I also like they way the path turns and we can only imagine the view.

Mir gefällt der Rundbogen, der geschwungenen Pfad und der Blick in das Grün. Sehr schön komponiert, Keith!
Bei genauer Betrachtung fällt auf, dass die Steinreihen des Bogens nicht parallel zu den Grundmauern verlaufen. Was mag der Grund dafür sein? Wurde der Tunnel schräg gebaut?

The tunnel is on a slight slope. The path used to be a railway line and parts of it were lowered or made higher to allow disabled people to access it. I think it might be something to do with that, but I'm not sure.
