We have those in my part of the world. They are good models if you can get them in good light.

Aren't they cool! And I love their calls. They almost sound like something prehistoric to me.

Great shot Karen. Love his red 'beret'. You had me fooled there for a minute - when I saw the woodpecker I was expecting to hear 'I hear you knockin', - Fats Domino or Dave Edmunds maybe. I'd forgotten all about this Stones track. Wicked music. Must come back and play it at the volume it deserves when the neighbours are already awake! Lol!
