Ominous?


Every local area has a spot where bridal parties like to go for pictures.
For some Whitby people, it appears, that spot is the ruined abbey on the hill.
At least it was when I visited in October 1997 and found this wedding party there, taking pictures.
I suppose neither the metaphor of the beautiful edifice destroyed, nor even the darkening sky, was a worry for them.
I wonder if they are still a couple.
Ilford Delta 100 in Nikon FE. Developed in 1997 in Ilfosol. Scanned today, in 2020.
