At the edge of what used to be a military base

I'm still scanning negatives from 1997 and these are adjacent frames on a roll of Kodak Gold 200 film in a 127 roll, shot in my 1950s Bilora Bella 44 camera. In 1997, 127 was very difficult to come by but I had a small stash at the time. This roll had expired four years previously, in October 1993.
The base was a USA one, Fort Pepperrell, and it was there for about twenty years, until the early 1960s. They had a 99-year lease -- I don't know if that means they might show up again some day in the next twenty years.
