Dandy Longlegs

I don't think I have seen a Dandy Longlegs after about September month
before. This one showed up in our kitchen last night and was still
there today, so I took its picture. This was on the back door and we
kept opening that door for various things. Eventually the fly,
feeling the cold, moved himself further into the kitchen and sat on
the ceiling where he still is tonight.
We thought he might have come in on something in the groceries. Or
more likely he had been sitting in a flower pot for a couple of
months.
And, yes, I know you probably call these Daddy Longlegs. Or even crane fly.
