Many thanks, Roger. A great image and it really is remarkable to find a planned township from that period, as your image shows. As I understand it, the Duke didn't want the old township obscuring his view of the Loch, so he had the new township built and cleared the old one away! HWW.

Nice to see the rows of terraced houses, some with shops underneath, and the architecture is unfussy, but quite lovely.
