Wigtown is a town and former royal burgh in Wigtownshire, of which it is the county town, It is now in he council area of Dumfries and Galloway,
Taken way back in 2007 with an elderly Practica camera which
despite my best efforts, always produced images with atmosphere!
Wigtown was officially designated as Scotland’s National Book Town in 1998 and is now home to a wide range of book-related businesses. A book lovers haven – and with over quarter of a million books to choose from, old and new … it is impossible to escape empty-handed.
HBM and a good week to you all!

Established in 1745 by the 3rd Duke of Argyll, head of the powerful Clan Campbell, the town is an absolute set piece of Scottish Georgian architecture.

The town end of the large harbour at Girvan, South Ayshire, showing the trawler Argonaut on the shipyard slipway, and the RNLI lifeboat mooring center of image.
The spire on the left is the North Parish Church and the right hand tower is Stumpy Jail, it was built in 1827. It has survived 2 World Wars and is still standing as a tribute to the craftsmanship of its Victorian Builders.
In 16.9 format therefor a large view will probably be required for detail, HFF and a good weekend.
Built 1720s

Georgian houses on the north side of Castle Street, Bridgwater from a slide circa 2000?, was built in the 1720s and are now Grade 1 listed Buildings, A shot it is impossible to take today as parked vehicles continually block the view .
The buildings are made of red and yellow Flemish-bond brick, with moulded stone coping to the parapet, and follow very similar lines. They form an important group, unusual for their scale and ambition outside London's West End. (Wikipedia),
Awaiting the arrival of new hardware, So I am using older images from my Chromebook and just enough fence to qualify, hopefully.

Vicar's Close in Wells, Somerset, is claimed to be the oldest purely residential street with original buildings surviving intact in Europe. These houses were built in the 14th and early 15th centuries and the close owes its origins to a grant of land and buildings by Walter de Hulle, a canon of Wells Cathedral, (Wikipedia)
Whilst taking these images I listened to beautiful music played on a violin emitting from an open window originating from what I assume was the adjacent music school,
As a point of interest, the houses " line each side of a quadrangle which appears longer than it is because of false perspective achieved by building the houses at the upper northern end nearest the chapel 9 feet (2.7 m) closer together than those at the lower southern end " (Wiki)
PiP shows chimney detail and some deterioration of the stone work.
Shot in 16.9 so a large view would be appreciated,
