Reminds me of, when in college, we bought my roommate, who was headed for the Episcopal priesthood, a chocolate cross. He threw it out the car window.
John FitzGerald club has replied to rdhinmn clubYour roommate must have been a low churchman. I get the impression they're fairly rare in the Episcopal church. I grew up as a low Anglican, but not so purist that I would have thrown away a chocolate cross. I always gravitated toward the Broad Church, which is where I ended up. Now I gather these distinctions are much less important, which to my mind is a good development.
