Thanks Eric, you find these signs in a lot of old towns and villages in Europe. in the modern cities there are rather neon illuminations....

Merci Malik. Le label "Café de Pays" valorise les ressources locales, on le trouve surtout en Bretagne et en Normandie (mais je crois que deux autres régions y adhèrent également, l'Aquitaine et le Languedoc-Roussillon). Bon dimanche.

Danke Karsten, gut gesagt, Blechscherenschnitt !! Es ist das Schild für das Label "Café de Pays". Das sind kleine Bistrots, vor allem in der Bretagne und der Normandie, die lokale Ressourcen fördern. D.h. also, hier kann man eventuell den selbst gemachten Apfelsaft des Besitzers trinken, und dergleichen. Schönen 3. Advent.

Thanks Peter. This sign stands for all the little bistros which have the label "Café de Pays". It promotes local resources, and is found in several French regions, a lot in Brittany and Normandy. So it's very likely that you saw at least one of it. Keep fine and kind regards.
