A Walk on the Quantock Hills

A Walk on the Quantock Hills
Captured at Lydeard Hill, on the Quantock Hills which became England's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). I loved the changing colours and the peaceful setting. Lydeard Hill shows on the map as being 365 metres high.

A walk on 'higher ground' with changing colours made me think of this link:-

I have therefore added a song called 'Higher Ground' performed by Playing for Change

Thank you Isabel. I hadn't thought about that. As you know we get more than our fair share of rainfall and take all our trees for granted really. It is interesting to read about your perspectie - always being able to see the horizon. We also used to have Portuguese neighbours and they moved over to England because the lady could not bear the heat. That is also something we don't often have to worry about.

Best wishes

A very nice composition of this beautiful woodland scene Carol. Not surprising it is part of an AONB.

Enjoy the rest of your day, Doug

Zooming in, you can see multiple varieties of green but, here and there, the typical autumnal shades begin to appear.
Excellent image!
All the best
