Potato Spinner (PiP)

Captured beside the Clachan Bridge next to the Clachan Sound.
I have added this photo and PiP as I have had some comments on my last picture about the potato spinner. So for all of those who are interested this is a close shot and the explanation of it's use in the PiP
Thank you for looking and for your interest.

Ecobird club has replied to Boarischa Krautmo clubThank you very much Markus. Well someone had a great idea and it probably saved them time and effort, - but not for the poor people following on behind and collecting the potatoes!!!!
There are always gonna be those who think and those who do;-)))
Have a lovely rest of the week, Carol.
Ecobird club has replied to Roger Bennion clubA wonderful and interesting picture, which I like very much!
Very nice composition and information.
Great colours too
I do wonder how effective it was though!! Potatoes certainky, but loads of soil and stones too!
Best Wishes, and stay safe!!
Peter
Ecobird club has replied to Peter_Private_Box clubNo doubt you are right - it was not a perfect design but probably innovative in it's day. Someone still had to walk behind and gather the potatoes too, which must have been the back breaking part! When you think of the huge machines used today farming has made massive strides forward though.
Stay well and best wishes

Ecobird club has replied to photosofghosts clubIt is beautiful there and the views of the Clachan Sound from the bridge are really lovely The bridge itself is so steep coaches have been known in the past to ask passengers to diembark and walk across!!
Best wishes Carol
