Excellent selection of autumnal colours but it's the Mountain Ash berries that stand out,

Thank you very much Diana. That is a really lovely thing to say. We pulled in at a viewpoint - that didn't have a great view actually - but the colours in the trees and the berries caught my eye. I went to investigate forgetting it had been raining quite a lot earlier on and ended up with wet feet, - but at least I got some photos! Have a lovely weekend and keep safe and well.

Things are starting to ease slightly with families allowed to meet albeit at a safe distance and some non essential shops are opening. It is really hot and sunny so all in all a little more positive, thank you.

How are things with you?

Oh, that's good, Carol. It must be so nice to get some relief and see your family again. Our son came down for a visit last week and it was so good to see him.

It's pretty crazy right now here in the states with rioting going on but we are tucked safely in the woods so it's not close to us, thankfully. I do feel so sorry for all the people in the big cities though. It must be pretty scary.

Take care and I hope things will get better for us all soon. :)

It must have been lovely to see your son again Karen, and it makes things feel a bit more normal too.

Oh it must be so scary living in the cities with all the rioting going on. It is good that you are away from all that. I hope things settle down soon though.

There has been a lot of anger and frustration over here too, particularly when people have been told to stay in and have been fined for breaking the rules when the same people that set them are ignoring them and going off to holiday homes and visiting relatives in other counties.

We have been out for some fresh air and also to take some sunset photos and it has felt so good to leave the house at last!

Like you, I hope things improve soon. Meanwhile take care and enjoy your family time and your surroundings. It certainly makes you appreciate the simple things in life!

One thing I'm learning through all this is who the good guys are and I won't be voting for our governor again this fall. :D
