Eine Insektenrarität - A really rare insect

Dieses eigenartige Insekt, nämlich den Schmetterlingshaft (Libelloides longicornis), fand ich im diesjährigen Sommer in einem Naturschutzgebiet bei Karlstadt am Main in der Nähe von Würzburg (Deutschland). Die Schmetterlingshafte sind keine Schmetterlinge, sondern gehören (wie auch die Florfliege) zur Gruppe der Netzflügler. Sie werden 4 bis 6 cm groß. Laut Wikipedia findet man sie in Mitteleuropa nur sehr selten, bevorzugt in der Nähe von Geröllfeldern. In Deutschland kommen sie gelegentlich um den Kaiserstuhl und Würzburg vor. Auf der Roten Liste der bedrohten Arten Deutschlands sind sie als „stark gefährdet“ eingestuft.

I found this strange insect, the black yellow owlfly (Libelloides longicornis), in this year's summer in a nature reserve near Karlstadt am Main (near Würzburg, Germany). The black yellow owlfly is no butterfly, but belongs (like the green lacewings) to the order neuroptera. They grow to a size of 4 to 6 cm. According to Wikipedia they are found very rarely in Central Europe, preferably near scree fields. In Germany they occasionally can be seen around the Kaiserstuhl and Würzburg. They are classified as "highly endangered" on the Red List of endangered species in Germany.
