Proving that I can finally get around to following directions, here is the B&W version.

Sight and Sound: The snow and the lighting on this table caused me to think about the cover of the Supertramp Album "Even in the Quietest Moments."

Here is our one dollar coin affectionately know as the Loonie. It is appropriate that our dollar symbol of the Loon floats because don't most currencies in the world?

For the Saturday Self-challenge: portrait mode.
Our backyard is popular this winter as it is very cold and the House Sparrows are keeping up their energy at the feeder. I made this one from inside the house looking out.

Christmas Holidays
There is nothing more Canadian than a backyard hockey rink. This one is built on public land by volunteers. The rink will be filled with children, and possibly some adults during the Christmas Holidays which started today. The back fences of the three homes who appear to support this endeavor have posted flags from all the Canadian National Hockey League teams and also some lights for night play, which is most of the day at this time of year. Notice how long the shadows are in the middle of the day.
For the Saturday Self-challenge: Create an image that highlights your favourite aspect of the holiday season.
