Green Pearl

For SSC, mirror reflection.
This mirror is found in the lid of a cosmetics case. It is surrounded by black velvet and reflects what I put in the container.
And yes, the golf ball is green, there is no processing.
Lunar Eclipse 2025 (PiP)

I thought we would have clouds, but when I checked, there was just enough clear sky to get this shot.
I spent most of my time trying to lock onto it with my camera. It was at a very high angle and appeared small. The viewfinder had a hard time since it was not very bright. I was using a long focal length combination which also made it difficult. My tripod head gave me grief because I had trouble locking in place with the incline I was imposing upon it.
No crop.
PnP in note. A lunar eclipse photo I made ten years ago.

Saab 340B Landing
To the best of my understanding, this is a Saab 340B.
This aircraft is coming in for landing near my home. It follows the Columbia River valley in our mountainous region, turns, and lands, on a rare flat spot.
I was trying out my new camera and a new lens. I was pleased with the results since I had no time to change my settings. The flights are rare, maybe two to four scheduled flights a day so I was surprised to get this opportunity while I was outside taking photos of the birds in my backyard.
It was also a rare sunny day at this time of year.
No crop.

Upside Down Flag
We dipped across the the US border for a day trip and found this flag, in a nice neighborhood, declaring that the country is in trouble. The upside-down flag is a sign of distress, recently brought to public attention by a Supreme Court Justice who displayed this orientation on his property. The juxtaposition of this perceived despair, with the reality of prosperity that this house demonstrates, and this level of paranoia is baffling. US flags on personal property are ubiquitous wherever you go in the States but this seems out of place for all kinds of reasons.
