Hab grad gedacht Gudrun ist in Yellowstone unterwegs! Fantastische Farben und klasse der Kontrast mir dem blauen Himmel! Ah ja, da hinten wird das heiße Wasser abgebaggert ;-))

Vielen Dank, Lutz! Yellowstone ist viel größer und voller;-) Ja, da ziehen sich so einige Rohrleitungen zum Kraftwerk, aber die optische Beeinträchtigung hält sich in Grenzen. Trotz Teerstrasse waren wir hier ganz allein! Mal sehen, wie lange das noch so einsam sein wird....

Another stunning set of photos of this beautiful landscape. It's really good to see the close up view in the main pic, but also to see it in context in the PiPs. All are excellent.

Just a thought..............if it wasn't for the wonderful colours caused by the minerals, I wonder if we'd still think the landscape was beautiful, or just spoiled? :-)

I think with the colours missing it would be a starker landscape, something you encounter over many parts of the Icelandic hghlands.

Die Farben des Vulkanismus sind immer wieder beeindruckend. Irre, was die Natur so hervorbringt. Das Hauptbild sieht aus wie ein abstraktes Kunstwerk.

Diese Bilderfolge zeigt uns keine lebensfreundlichen Gebiete Islands, aber wunderschöne Farben! Sie erinnern mich an den Yellowstone Park in den USA. Riecht es in Island auch so schön nach Schwefel ???
