Thanks Peter. I was aware of Francois, though not of his memoir. I must make the effort to obtain and read it. To have survived such a hideously bizarre occasion must be more traumatic than dying at their hands in many ways...you have to live with what happened...much like these poor fuckers being held captive by ISIS, etc. I have a docu-dvd of a Cambodian artist (painter) who was also spared because the regime liked his art. It's quite a sobering watch.
