VoR(M)[24] - Pairs F.68 Isle of Man Steam Rly {4 of 8}

VoR(M)[24] - Pairs F.68 Isle of Man Steam Rly {4 of 8}
Interior of C13. I suspect that we are looking at varnished oak, and not scumble.
Originally, Third class on the steam railway was not upholstered.

The "Pairs" were two of the original 1873 4-wheel carriages mounted on steel underframes, running on bogies. F68 was formed from A9 and C13, as their underframe dates from 1909, it is likely that this was the first "pairing". It was withdrawn in the 1970s and then sold to the Phyllis Rampton Trust. After restoration, and being put onto 2ft gauge bogies it is now on display at Aberystwyth.

[Compare with B1 half of F.62 or either half of F.63]
