Ransomes Portable. No.36030 single cylinder Built in Ipswich by Ransomes, Sims & Jefferies in1925.

These engines can't be moved under their own power, and are towed by another engine, or a team of heavy horses to where they are to work, sawing wood or thrashing. Some were used in factories to drive overhead line shafts or generators, and were in great demand as a source of stand-by power in wartime.
