After arriving with the 12.15 service from Loughborough on our immaculate "Royal Engine", LMS Fowler 3F 0-6-0T 47406, we have just run round and I've hooked up again. 47406 was built by Vulcan Foundry in Lancashire for the LMS in 1926.

It's an oil pot Graham. The brass lid on the reservoir lifts to fill it. The oil slowly transfers through worsted trimmings by capillary action from the reservoir via the pipes to lubricate the axle boxes.
