Geometrische illusie - Geometric illusion

Voor de foto koos ik een flatgebouw waarvan één kant ook als een geluidswal fungeert. De muren en ramen zijn dan ook verdiept aangelegd en zijn niet zichtbaar. Per verdieping zijn er drie L-vormige betonnen lagen.
Op de foto wilde ik alleen het L-vormige patroon hebben, daarom is de oorspronkelijke foto vierkant. Anders zou er rechts een raam zichtbaar zijn, en links en boven stopte het patroon geheel of gedeeltelijk. Om dezelfde reden zit er een scheve horizon in.
In de bewerking heb ik een blikje weggehaald, deze stond voor een stip. Ook heb ik enkele gedeeltelijke stippen verwijderd, deze stoorden in het eindresultaat. Voor het eindresultaat heb ik de oorspronkelijke foto gespiegeld en omgekeerd en de vier foto’s aan elkaar gemonteerd. Daarna heb ik de kleuren bewerkt: negatief en/of sepia gemaakt en/of curven aangepast.
Alles bij elkaar een geometrische illusie die Escher niet zou misstaan.

For the photo I chose an apartment building, one of its side functions also as some kind of sound wall. The walls and windows were built quite far behind the edges and are not visible. Every floor has three concrete layers in an L-form.
On the photo I wanted only the L-pattern visible, therefore I had not much choice in standpoints. That’s also the reason why the photo is square. Otherwise there would be a visible window right, and on left and the upper side the pattern stopped partially or complete. For the same reason there is a small Dutch tilt.
In the processing I removed a can (trash!), this one in front of a dot. I removed also some partial visible dots, these were an annoyance in the end result. For the end result I mirrored and/or flipped the original photo and assembled these four photos. After that I processed the colours: negative and/or sepia and/or curves.
All in all a geometric illusion which would not misfit M.C. Escher.
