Cydno Longwing / Heliconius cydno


I believe I have the correct ID for this tropical butterfly that I photographed at the Calgary Zoo on 20 April 2012. I take so many photos in the ENMAX Conservatory, but then never seem to get time to go through them properly. So, every once in a while, I'll grab one from my archives.
The sky is so dreary early this morning and there is a Storm Watch in effect, for more snow. Another day's plans bite the dust : ( This pattern of planning a day out of the city, and having to cancel because of the weather, is getting very monotonous and more and more annoying, ha. Later: as it turned out, the snow lasted such a short time and I could have gone out after all. Hope it stays snowless for tomorrow!
