I did this Orb a while ago and simply filed it away under "Maybe it worked/Maybe it didn't" :-)
I came across the file t'other day and when I looked again I couldn't believe that "July, You're A Woman" is the title of a song :-) This song features on one of my all-time favourite albums from 1974 and that is "The Phoenix Concerts" by John Stewart. I still have my vinyl copy and, of course, the cd as well :-)

In my humble opinion "Making Memories Of Us" is one of Rodney Crowell's finest songs. It features on the album "The Notorious Cherry Bombs".
I have read that this song has become a firm favourite at weddings. I didn't go to the wedding here but when some of the guests walked by me I knew I should take a photo :-) So this is my logic for adding this combination to 'Sight and Sound' :-)
Also, I had in the back of my mind that Keith Urban sang this song to Nicole Kidman at their wedding. Mind you, I may have completely made this up :-)))
I am also including a link to Keith singing the song and I reckon that Keith absolutely 'nails it' !!

Previously I have used a very similar shot to this one. That one had quite a few birds flying around :-)
This one I am linking, pretty tenuously, to "Song For The Life" written and performed by Rodney Crowell 'cos there is a line in the song that says "For a sound like the sun going down" :-)
Somehow I learned how to listen
For a sound like the sun going down
In the magic that morning is bringing
There's a song for the friends I have found
To keep my feet on the ground
Way back in the 70's we were fortunate enough to see several 'Emmylou Harris & The Hot Band' concerts when Rodney and Albert Lee played in The Hot Band. And, since the 70's we have seen Albert very many times as part of Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes. Many moons ago we did have tickets to see Hal Ketchum but, sadly, the concert was cancelled when Hal was taken ill and was later diagnosed with a very serious illness whereby he lost the use of the left side of his body. Unfortunately, we never got to see Carlene Carter in concert.

Two of my all-time favourite singers feature in the video for my 'Sight and Sound' entry i.e. Dougie MacLean and Kathy Mattea.
Last evening Helen and I went to see Dougie in Concert at The Stables, Wavendon, Milton Keynes. Poor old Dougie was suffering from the flu but it was stiil a magical and emotional night. Dougie always gets the audience to sing along with the choruses. Normally I only sing when the nearest person is a couple of miles away but even I joined in :-)
I well remember taking this Guernsey shot way back in 2011. It was blowin' a gale and I thought that any minute I might take off like Mary Poppins :-) And, the waves were crashing against the rocks!
