Kate is another singer taken from us way too soon! I know it is Nina Gerber playing acoustic guitar but I would really like to know who is playing bass/singing harmony. I've been watching, on YouTube, Warren Zevon's 1982 Concert at the Capitol Theatre. One of the songs is Bruce Springsteen's "Cadillac Ranch". And, can you imagine my surprise when I actually came across "Cadillac Ranch" :-) There was even a blue Cadillac in the covered 'out-house' :-) Okay, it may not look big enough to be a Cadillac but I'm sure this must be one of the new Eco versions :-) I have always wondered how you put in a link to the start of a song in a concert on YouTube. And, after some investigation I reckon I have this partly sussed. Explored! ~ Thank you very much :-))) I have so much to thank 'Sight and Sound' for. Often posts mean that there are artists out there that I have never heard of or if I have heard of them I haven't properly listened to their music. Or, when I am searching for musical links for my posts I come across musical gems. Two artists particularly spring to mind, both tragically no longer with us, and they are Steve Goodman and Warren Zevon. Without 'Sight and Sound' I would have likely missed out on Steve's and Warren's wonderful music. For this post I am concentrating on Warren's music. I am very, very, very, tenuously linking my photo to "Mutineer". A mutineer can be a sailor, who rebels or refuses to obey the orders of a person in authority. I keep running out of tissues and I can't see the screen!

I have previously used a photo of this guy but there were other peeps in that shot. I am using this shot as part of, probably, my most tenuous link so far for 'Sight and Sound. This Lady was modelling at 'Focus on Imaging' @ the NEC, Birmingham way back in 2011. It is very poor when you can't remember a name! Anyway, I am linking my photo to "(I Ain't Gonna) Make That Call" by Jane Ellen Bryant 'cos this Lady picked up the phone but then said "I Ain't Gonna Make That Call" :-) Following contact with Mick I have been searching YouTube re Stephen Bruton who tragically succumbed to throat cancer in 2009. Explored! ~ Thank you very much :-))) Quite near to the 24th of September 2015 when it was 24 degrees Celsius and at 24 minutes after midday I took my 24th frame (this one) of the Biochemistry Building. You can probably count 24 different shapes here as well. So, for 'Sight and Sound' "24 Frames" by Jason Isbell immediately springs to my mind. I have been wanting to find a shot that includes a 'yellow coat' to link to "Yellow Coat" by Steve Goodman. One of my very, very favourite songs by Steve. Emmylou said "There are a lot of great people out there that are not household names, and you know what? It's not a bad thing. Someone like Steve really touched you in a way that music is supposed to touch you, and the people who are fans of Steve Goodman will be fans till death. Explored! ~ Thank you very much :-))) This was an Orb of the Andrew Wiles Building in Oxford where I was trying to use the Orb technique for a second time. Don't quite know what I did but I was surprised by this result :-)

I feel like I am in heaven 'cos I have come across a version of "Desperado" by Linda Ronstadt and The Eagles :-) "Desperado" was written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey. One of my absolute all-time fave songs. A pretty desperate and tenuous link follows :-) According to Thesaurus, 'Desperado' can mean 'Outlaw'. I think the guy in this shot, taken in Amsterdam way back in 2004, looks a bit like an 'Outlaw'. I'm sure I have used this shot before but it must have been on that other site!! Extract from Wikipedia - "Hay-on-Wye is a small market town and community in the traditional county and district of Brecknockshire in Wales, currently administered as part of the unitary authority of Powys. Often described as "the town of books", it is the National Book Town of Wales." I wanted a shot of a 'Northern Town' to go with "Life In A Northern Town". This shot of Hay-on-Wye is goin' to be the closest I am goin' to get to a 'Northern Town'.
