First Grade Class Picture c. 1920


Uploaded (Yay!) for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: "HANDS".
Apparently, the children have been instructed to place their folded hands on the desk for the class picture.
As in many of the vintage class photos, the teacher looks joyless and the kids look fearful.
This is a photo, one of a group I bought from a local woman on Craiglist, Her Uncle is in the photo. I think he's the 2nd child back on the right. His name was Carlyle.
This is in NY - possibly Brooklyn.
